We were in Enderby for three weeks, staying with the MacNairs' (friends of Joel's family) and with Mom and Pops (Joel's parents) and Tag (the sleepy dog pictured above). We had time to relax, to catch up with e-mails, visit friends, family, and supporters, and talk to our team in Ireland via Skype (pictured above). It was also really nice to spend time with the ladies from Faith Community on their annual Ladies Retreat (just me and Joel's mom of course, Pops and Joel were left behind)...I even gave in and shared a short devotional with them...Yikes!!...it's much scarier talking to 17 or so ladies than to 25-30 students! We also had a chance to visit at Armstrong First Baptist and it was great to see Ike and Irene (from Hartland) enjoying their retirement and new church family! We also got to catch up with Joel's cousins and their little ones: Dan & Marilyn and their son Brenden came from McBride for a few days, Leanne & Jeremy and their little baby Sammy came from Abbotsford, and we also caught up with Shawn & Susie and their boys Tyson and Levi who live in Enderby. We also visited with Grandma Evans, Uncle Doug and Auntie Del! (I would include a picture of this fine looking couple, but I made a promise not to...however, if Uncle Doug loses our next match of "10 Penny") .... *grin*
