A New Member of the "Carlaw Clan"!

Whoo Hoo! We finally have Internet access at our place in Ireland :) I realize that I am way, way, way behind in updating this site...but we have been waiting (patiently)...and waiting (less patiently) for our broadband to be hooked up. So, we now have access to the Internet and I will begin where I left off, last month (yikes!).

So, from "Christmas in November" at my parents, we travelled to Abbotsford to stay a couple of nights with Joel's cousins Leanne & Jeremy and their very cute baby, Sam. While we were there, Leanne arranged an evening for us to get together with Joel's family members in the Lower Mainland at a Boston Pizza. We were happy to have the chance to visit with and say goodbye to his brother Mike and sister-in-law Belinda, who came with our niece Laura (Jason, Stephanie, and Stephen...our other nephews and niece weren't able to make it). We were also excited and happy to meet Kim, the newest member of our "Carlaw Clan". Kim and Joel's sister Colleen were just married on November 10th so we had a great visit with them as well :)

From Abbotsford we drove back up to Prince George to sell our car, and to attend a "commissioning service" at our church that Pastor Ellis planned for us. We picked an amazing day to travel as the roads were clear and the sun was shining. It later turned out that it was indeed the best day to travel, as the roads and weather continued to get worse from that day on through the weekend (this is foreshadowing for the rest of the story to appear in future entries!). We arrived in P.G. safely in the afternoon on the 22nd of November and had a wonderful time visiting with friends, co-workers, students, and church family ... Posted by Picasa
