Christmas Eve / Christmas Day
On Christmas Eve we had Gordon and Ruth Smyth (Carolyn's parents) over for dinner. Their children & grandchildren were not here, so they came to spend Christmas with us "orphans" :0) We had a wonderful evening with them and were so glad they could come and make Christmas Eve feel like it was a "Family Event".
Yes, its true ... I can cook a turkey! Who knew? Ruth did the ham, which those of you who know me well will notice that, since moving to Ireland, I now actually EAT ham (amazing, I know). She also made the stuffing, bread sauce, and a very tasty pavlova that Joel was particularly fond of :0) Mother, I hope you will note the veggies on my plate! :0)
On Christmas Day, we awoke to find that Santy had indeed visited our house! We managed to open our prezzies before heading to our Christmas Day church service. Joel was not impressed to find that the "baby" had given him a gift of "nappy wipes". He was quite happy with the second gift from his "baby" of Reese's Pieces that Auntie Carolyn brought back from America in November. He also received "nappy cream" from Uncle Bryce and Auntie Carolyn as well ... great minds think alike??
What can I say? I have often said I have the body shape of a baby penguin ...

Hi Christine & Joel!
Thanks for all your prayers concerning my new job. I'm liking it already - despite the huge amount of work and learning I need to do :o)
Just wanted to let you know that when next I see you, we'll have a 5month difference between our babies. We're pregnant again!!!! I haven't been to the doctor yet, but I estimate September 19th (based on the internet). So excited!!! This news came with happy timing, as Bob was laid off from work today (2 weeks earlier than anticipated). He'll have a chance to bond with Jaida, while I work and earn up maternity leave. Yeah!!!
Love ya, fellow preggie :o)
