Joel's "nesting", oops I mean "gardening" ...

This is a picture of our garden "before" Joel and Joanne went to work. We were meant to go to Killarney for a team retreat after M.C.C. Easter camp a couple of weeks ago, but the trip was cancelled due to "baby bump" and I spending a couple of nights in the hospital for observation. After camp, my feet and hands had swollen quite a bit, so we went to our gp who sent us to the hospital to get checked. My blood pressure had gone up a bit (still normal levels, but for me personally - higher than normal) and I had protein in my urine that had gone up. So, in we went and in I stayed for a couple of days to be monitored for "pre-eclampsia". Thankfully, baby and I were released after a couple of nights of being monitored, and all seems to be well. Unfortunately, our trip to Killarney and the baby shower Joanne had planned for me, had to be cancelled. So, instead we did a "mini team retreat" here from our homes instead ...

Joel and Joanne had a great time planning, preparing, and digging out the garden at the front of the house. Lee and I watched/"supervised" from the couch in the sitting room :0) Actually, Lee was trying to fix Joel's computer upstairs, and installing a new virus protection program on the laptop downstairs. I was the one on the couch with my feet up ... pretending to be useful and productive :0(

Joel and Joanne worked on the garden until about 9pm that night, when they officially ran out of "daylight". The next afternoon, Joel was back out again to finish it off. Those of you who know Joel will be proud, like I was, that he wasn't out there the night before with a torch ("flashlight") trying to finish it all in one day :0)

The finished product! Well, semi-finished. We are waiting until my parents come (two weeks today!) to choose some flowers, etc. to plant in May. Joel and Joanne did a great job and Joel is now fielding phone calls to work in other people's gardens ... Joanne of course has first priority :0)

Stay tuned for recent pictures of the "baby bump" ... also growing, and growing, and growing ...

Great job Joel and Joanne!!! Anytime you want to work on our landscaping we'd be happy to have you come! Although I'm excited about your garden I have to say I'm a little disappointed that your post wasn't about your baby's arrival! We are so anxious to hear!!! I guess it's all in God's time, but if it were up to me today would be the day!!!
Love you!!
