Carlaw Family Fun in Co. Carlow

Last week, we travelled to Co. Carlow for family holidays! We had a blast! We played in the park, went swimming every day in the hotel pool, and travelled around Carlow Town and Kilkenny visiting different sites. This is a picture from the fountain outside Kilkenny Castle in the medieval city of Kilkenny.

This is Kilkenny Castle. Emma was quite excited about visiting a real castle. She is on a real "princess" kick right now. We didn't go inside the castle, much to her disappointment I'm sure ... but, we did spend time walking around the grounds.

We also visited The Chocolate Garden outside Tullow. They had a fabulous outdoor play area for children ... only problem was the massive amount of wasps around the place! You can even take a tour to see how the chocolate is made, and can even do a workshop on how to make it yourself. We opted to just check out the shop instead!

We also went to the Rancho Reilly Pet Farm outside of Tullow. Emma had a blast here! You can pet the smaller animals like the bunny above, jump on bouncy castles, ride bikes around a track, play inside on a play structure with slides, jump on trampolines, and play on outdoor play structures, etc. Yeah, I'm sure she wouldn't want to go back there again at all ... As if!  Next week, we head to Dublin for a few days in our final week of holidays.  We're praying the weather will be nice enough to go to the Dublin Zoo again ... and of course, we will be going to IKEA! :0)

Looks like a great time! You'll have to put this on the list of the places to show Dan & Marilyn when they finally (win the lottery?) get to come to Ireland for a visit. Love you guys!

My goodness . . . what a wonderful place to visit. Glad that you three and a "bit" are having a good restfull time after your daunting schedule in Canada.

Miss you all very much. Did find the magnifying glass today, I am sure the other "missing/misplaced" items will surface. I am on a "treasure hunt" (hee hee)

Love Mom (Amma)and Dad (Granpa)

Hmm . . . seems to me that Christine will be somewhat older on the 27th!!!
