It was a girl! Emma was right!

Turns out our 3 year old was right ... "baby in the belly" was a "baby sister"! We had taught Emma that "baby in the belly" was either a "baby brother" or a "baby sister" and we referred to him/her as "baby brother/baby sister". Emma did quite well (for awhile) with using that description. Then, the last few months she refused to refer to him/her as anything other than "baby sister" and was convinced we were having a girl.

Don't let the blue blanket fool you ... Emma was right! Caitlin Faye Carlaw arrived on 2 November, 2011 at 1.33am. She weighed in at 8lbs 4 oz and was 20.5 inches long!

Proud Daddy had to leave M.C.C Inter Camp (where he was the camp speaker), borrow the camp leader's car, drive to Cork from Bandon, and meet me at the Maternity Hospital. I will try to post more about that later ... rather a "comedic" EARLY arrival for Caitlin!

We arrived home on Sunday, 6th November, 2011 and Emma is absolutely LOVING her "baby sister". We are trying to enjoy this time as we know she may not always feel so loving and affectionate towards her! :0) Sorry for the delay in posting this news ... after returning home from hospital, I developed an infection and besides putting photos up on facebook and e-mailing them to family ... I just wasn't up for posting on here. A few days after recovering from that "fun time", I did up a post, only to have it disappear and not be able to "undo" whatever had happened ... Anyway, check back again next week as I hope to put up a few more posts on here to try to update you on some more exciting events and happenings! For example, those of you have been praying with us about a new venue for our "Explore Club", or praying for us to afford and find a "new to us" car ... ;0)
