SEPTEMBER:
Amma & Granpa were still with us in the beginning of September. After our Dublin adventure, we returned home to go on the Cork Harbour Cruise, and we were blessed with a really nice day ... it was dry!
The cruise leaves from the Port of Cork and goes to Cobh (pronounced "Cove") - the last port of call for the Titanic.
When we arrived in Cobh, we discovered that a Russian navy boat was docked there.
They had tours aboard the ship, but we didn't have time to go on it before our boat left to return to Cork. Poor Granpa! I think both he and Joel would have enjoyed going on it :(
We enjoyed our time on our boat though!
Emma had a great time and really liked our tour guide, the "nice lady" ...
In September, we had Caitlin dedicated at our church. That same day, she turned 10 months old!
Yup, that was all of us! Caitlin was teething of course, so she had her fist in her mouth for every picture!
Our girlie on her first day back to playschool. This year she started going every day, Monday to Friday from 9.30am - 12.30pm
Love that face!
All dressed up and ready to go!
Amma & Granpa were there to send her off and then went to pick her up after her first day!
Meanwhile, Caitlin was enjoying her swing!
Later in the month, we got to mind our Carlaw girl cousins for an afternoon! Abi and Emma had a great day of playing hairdresser, dress up, mummys & babies, etc.
Hannah & Caitlin also got some play time together!
OCTOBER:
At the beginning of October, Emma had a bit of an accident. The above was her "before" photo ...
The above is her "after" photo. She and Daddy were playing in our bedroom, and Emma's tooth hit the footboard of our "new to us" bedframe, and out came her front tooth! The other front tooth was and still is loose, but thankfully it is still in her mouth. The tooth fairy came that night with a €2 coin ... because it was her first one (and because he she felt badly).
Then it was time for playschool's Halloween Party. Someone's mummy had cleaned out the cupboards and the fridge in preparation for our trip to Switzerland (more about that in a second) and so, this princess went to school with apples to share with her friends ... good job she chose to be "Snow White" for the party, they kinda went with the outfit ;)
Our princess :)
In October, we travelled to Leysin, Switzerland to attend the All Europe Conference for Crossworld (these usually occur every 3 years). This year, the Ireland and Spain fields were in charge of organizing it. On one of the "free" afternoons, Joel and Emma went ice skating ... Emma's first time!
Caitlin and I watched.
She loved it! And daddy was a great teacher!
He was even patiently teaching her whilst his buddies were all sporting hockey sticks and his was waiting by the bench ...
At last, she seemed to figure it out and wanted to "do it by myself Daddy!"
And so Daddy got to pick up his hockey stick and join Uncle Bryce.
