Yup, it's true ... we are having a baby! We just went for our first ultrasound today, and as you can see above, 1 healthy baby so far ... I am 11 weeks ... due date is April 23rd :0) We are very excited and so thankful to God for answering our prayers! Many of you may not know, but I have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) so Joel and I have always known it would probably take us awhile to have children. We told people we were "on the five year plan" so that it would take pressure off us, and it helped me not to have to explain to everyone why we didn't have any children yet. So, this is a HUGE blessing and answer to our prayers. God is so good!! I am pregnant, and we just celebrated our 5th anniversary in August!
I am in a ladies bible study that meets every second Thursday morning, and we are doing Beth Moore's "Jesus, the One and Only". Wow! Yet another example of God's perfect timing. For the past two weeks while doing my homework, I have been reading about Elizabeth (& Zechariah), and Mary ... two women who should not have been pregnant except for the timing and will of God ... so applicable to my life. In fact the verse we are memorizing for tomorrow is amazingly appropriate as well:
Luke 1:45 ... "Blessed is she who believes that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished."

The pregnancy calendar is cool. Very informative, especially having the "Dad" section as well. Having had 3, its been awhile, you soon forget some of the growing stages within the womb. Great addition to the blog!
