So, Valentine's Day (or "Loventine's Day" as Emma calls it) has come and gone ... and I am posting some pictures belatedly. Its been a busy couple of weeks, full of sickness I'm afraid. First, Emma was on antibiotics for a gland infection in her throat. Then Caitlin had some kind of virus that left her with a low temp, sore throat and ears, and the little monkey decided to try to get 6 top teeth at once! Joel is just at the end of a very sore throat/fuzzy head virus kind of thing ... and I am desperately hoping he hasn't shared with me! :-( Anyway, on to the photo recap ...
The night before "Loventine's Day", I finished up my "Happy Love Day" banner and did a quick table decoration to surprise the girls, and the hubby, in the morning.
Caitlin's gifts all wrapped up and ready on her high chair.
Surprises ready at Emma's place at the table.
Even a little something for Daddy Joel!
These beautiful flowers were my gift from Joel and the girls and I was able to use them in my decorating too ;-) Joel and I went out for dinner on the Wednesday evening to celebrate "Loventine's Day" early and avoid the crowds! Yup, we're getting older (or wiser) like that!
Ready for "Loventine's Day!" ...
Emma using some of her "gifts". We gave her love heart sticky notes, pink pens (but she isn't using one in the photo ... hmmm....). She also got red love heart jellies, a Hello Kitty Card game, and a book called "Polly's Pink Pyjamas".
I'm not sure what Caitlin was accusing me of in this photo? :-) She got her first pink toothbrush, a pink Peppa Pig phone, vanilla baby cookies, and a sippy cup with a straw. We also gave her a "That's not my Baby" book ... one of those touchy, feely books (literally - ha ha).
Joel's treats ... a few "tastes" reminiscent of Canada, and a pair of earphones for running!
Joel made us "American style" love heart pancakes for lunch. I must say they were quite tasty (yay for internet recipes). I am usually not a huge fan of traditional pancakes, but these were quite light and yummy!
Emma was a fan!
Caitlin was a big fan of the fruit, but we're still not sure if she likes pancakes. So, that was our "Loventine's Day" celebrations! It was a nice day. One of our rare family days where we got to just spend time together and stay in our "jammies" :-)

still love your blogs!! we moved from Smithers to Vancouver Island in 2011, but our kids are still in Smithers, so we go up once a year now. Think of you often and pray your ministry there is fulfilling for you and advantageous for the people of Ireland...
much love
