The Carlaw's 2014 Year in Review: January, February, March.

Phew!  One year (2013) down, one left (2014) to catch up on before the New Year (2015) arrives ...
All this makes up for not sending out any Christmas cards/letter this year ... right!?

January, 2014
I actually can't find any photos from this month!  I'm guessing we were a bit busy unpacking and settling into our new house! :-)

February, 2014

Happy Valentine's Day ... in our new house!
For Emma.
For Caitlin.  She calls this owl her "Hoo! Hoo!" ;-)
Opening cards & gifts before breakfast.
My collection of plants:  a poinsettia (I'm fairly certain this one lasted until at least June!), plants gifted to us for "Happy Housewarming" ... and Emma's spring bulb from school.  So, why is it that every plant in the photo did not thrive with me looking after it?... EXCEPT the poinsettia, which I threw away in the summer because it liked me too much!? ;-)
The return of youth club ... now located in Passage West!
And yet ... still well attended :-)
Yup, that large kitchen I didn't know what to do with?  Turns out ... very handy for doing games for youth club!!

March, 2014
 Bath time!
Going for a walk/scooter ... with a safety vest on after learning about "road safety" in school! ;-)
Bike ride!  With some "push power" by Daddy of course.
A little picnic in the back garden on the deck!
Meanwhile, the true "green thumb" of the family hard at work.
We needed a dresser for Emma.  When we first moved to Ireland, we could not find any "used furniture" shops.  In the past couple of years we have found a couple of them, and there is now a great website you can go on to buy or sell all kinds of used items.  Anyway, here is the "Before" picture ... the girls were "lunching", Daddy was "gardening", and Mummy was "DIY'ing" :-)
In between coats of paint, Caitlin "graduated" from her travel cot into a "big girl" bed.  Here she is ready to "sleep" in it for the first time.
Personally, I think that yawn looks a bit "staged" to me!
Ta da!  The finished dresser ... designed by Emma (the pink parts of course), and painted by Mummy!
