For Canada Day we travelled back to Enderby to spend some time with Joel's Mom and participate in some of the Carlaw "Canada Day Traditions"
Like watching the parade.
Emma with her cousin Maarti.
Caitlin and Daddy waiting ...
Here they come ...
Uncle Shawn & Tyson ...
Uncle Jeremy & Sam ...
Levi & Joel's Uncle Doug (the owner of the tractors) ...
Brendan & Uncle Dan ...
The rest of the Carlaw cheering section ... and some random Enderby folk.
Back at the farm, there was fun activites too ... "barrel riding" ...
and "sprinkler running" :-)
Caitlin was right in there with the cousins.
And Emma!
Fun!
And here comes Daddy!
Prince George, B.C.
After the long weekend in Enderby, it was time to travel back up to Prince George.
Emma got to experience a "quad ride" with some friends of ours.
Wearing a helmet of course (safety first!)
Emma with our friend Alana and her son Isaiah.
And her hubby Dale driving.
Wait! Now its Emma driving!?
She looks far too happy and comfortable driving that thing!
Meanwhile, back at the house, Caitlin chilling with Kadin!
Park days with friends in Smithers are fun!
What is in her mouth? I can't remember, and that's probably a good thing!
We even went to "Storytime in Ft. George Park"
My friend Ingrid made a special appearance!
How could you be any more comfortable and entertained?
Emma joined in with the actions.
We also managed to have a playdate with my friend Tanya and her children at the Exploration Place.
Photos on the train tracks!
My youngest and her youngest, Kaeden
Kitimat, B.C.
We also travelled up to Kitimat to visit one of our supporting churches. One of the couples in the church very generously offered to take us out on their boat to go fishing.
Joel made the effort to go! It was a sacrifice ;-)
Joel would tell you "Best day of the summer!"
He even caught fish!
See!?
It was seriously one of the most beautiful and relaxing afternoons I can remember! (Did I mention our girls weren't with us?)
We even came back with crab!
Absolutely gorgeous!!!
Ah yes, its amazing what a few hours out on a boat with another fab couple, while your children are being expertly minded, can do!
Thanks to Andrew and Ruth and their girls, Gabi and Ximena!
Enderby, B.C.
We made a quick overnight stop at Grandma's to say goodbye.
Sidney, B.C.
Then it was back over to Sidney to spend our last few days with Amma & Granpa.
Just relaxing after all the travelling and visiting.
You know, like playing Barbies with Grandpa!
Celebrating Daddy's birthday!
Eating an ice cream cake for the first time!
Eating an ice cream cake, NOT for the first time! ;-)
My parents even let us get away overnight while they minded the girls. The hotel was only across the street, but the view was definitely better! :-)
We even managed to meet up with my childhood friend from P.G.- Lesley and her son Owen.
Emma & Owen had a great time at the Splash Park.
Granpa took us to the Butterfly Gardens.
There were turtles there too.
Best buddies.
Just to prove I was really there!
Maple Ridge, B.C.
Just before flying home to Ireland, we were able to spend some time with Joel's cousin Leanne and her family. It just happened to be her son Sam's birthday!
The birthday boy!
Emma and Maarti.
Caitlin and Luke.
The whole fab family!!
