Baptisms
We arrived home to Ireland in time to see two friends be baptized at our church :-)
This is our church's "baptismal tank", because we meet in a Catholic boys' school.
Elord & Sugar - about to be baptized.
The crowd :-)
Emma was thrilled to see Anette there, her playschool teacher.
Praying for Elord
Into the water ...
A "new creation"!
Our friend Sugar is all smiles before ...
maybe not smiles during ;-) ...
... But, smiles again after!!
Family Holiday in West Cork
At the end of August, we were able to get away for a short family holiday ... right before Emma started school.
We stayed in our friend Sharon's family caravan at her parents' farm in Skibbereen. Chinese food was a favourite meal!
Reading, sitting on Daddy, and watching movies was also enjoyed!
We took a drive out to Mizen Head and discovered that they had built a new children's play park outside the visitor centre.
Now this is my kind of trampoline ... IN the ground, instead of above it!
Gorgeous view from the play park.
Swinging together in the "net swing" (or whatever the correct description is).
Cute girl!
We also spent loads of time at the beach (the girls' favourite thing to do on holidays in West Cork).
Taking off her shoes to feel the sand between her toes!
We found this beach by chance, its called "Tralispeen".
Another gorgeous view!
Happy holiday-makers! And please note, I did not "cut off" Joel's head in this "selfie"!
Happy girls!
Another stunning view!
Speaking of "stunning views", this was our view from our caravan window.
A closer look.
We also found another fab play park in Baltimore.
Yes, you guessed it! Another stunning view from another play park!
Emma, of course, made a friend ... a fellow pirate!
Her baby sister was wishing she could climb up there too!
Love this face! "Why can't I go up there to?!"
Tragumna Beach.
Making moats.
Collecting water.
Constructing a ring fort?
More water needed.
Playing playmobil at the caravan.
Playing happily ... for a few minutes :-)
Hee hee. Love this photo!
A stroll to collect water ... again.
Our beach babes.
Another drive to Tralispeen to take this photo.
Then up another random road, just exploring. Yes, that is a 2-way road to somewhere!
We only went to the top of the hill though, then stopped and turned around to see this!
We live in a gorgeous country!
First Day of School
After coming home from our holidays, it was time for Emma to get ready to go to "big school". Her first day was on the 29th of August.
Her first day of "Jr. Infants" (aka "Kindergarten") at St. Luke's National School.
She was very excited!
Love this one!
The full uniform! Can I just say ... I love school uniforms ... as a parent! Although, I do change my mind on school mornings when I realize I forgot to wash/dry said school uniform! ;-)
