May

May was the month for Carlaw birthdays! Our nephew Jonothan turned "1" on the 7th, his brother Nathan (pictured above) turned "6" on the 14th, Joel's dad ("Pops") had his birthday on the 19th, our niece Abigail (Nathan & Jonothan's sister) turned "4" on the 22nd (pictured above with her cake), and Joel's sister-in-law Carolyn (Nathan & Abigail's mummy) had her birthday on the 28th! Joel's cousin Leanne also has a birthday on the 2nd and her daughter Maartina turned "2" on the 8th (Emma had her first ever "tea party" with Maarti last year when we were in Canada)

At Abi's party, Emma had great fun playing in the pool. Abi's Irish cousins had a blast with the sprinkler. It was a rare hot, sunny, summer day and the perfect day for a "birday pahty!" (as Emma would say)

May also brought us the year end party for our "Explore Club". We did a "Carnival Night" theme and the kids seemed to have a ball! There was a fish pond, face-painting, bean bag toss, popcorn, fizzy, sweets, and a cupcake walk.

And yes ... there was even a shooting range!
