Pink Bicycle!

All Emma has been talking about for the past few months is a "Pink bicycle for my birthday!". She has even gone to the toy store to "visit" her pink bicycle and ride it around the store. Well, today we came home with the pink bicycle!

She also chose a pink Peppa Pig helmet. Now, why did she get a pink bicycle today when her birthday isn't until the 29th of April? Well, we actually went to the toy store today to buy her a small reward for all the hard work she has done with potty training. If you have been following our progress on facebook, you know that there have been "successes" and "hiccups" along the way. She has been "clean and dry" now since 3am yesterday, so we thought perhaps a Peppa Pig toy to celebrate would be appropriate. Once we were there, Joel wondered if we shouldn't just get what she really wanted ... and by getting it early, that would be the "reward" for the successful potty training. We had talked about getting her the bicycle before going to Canada, as we wondered what would happen when we are in Canada on her birthday and no pink bicycle is presented!?

Needless to say, we have one happy "big girl"!  And look ... a free puppy!

She did go outside too for a turn around the estate on the footpaths :0)

So good to see her enjoying her birthday present early. I just downloaded the potty training resource you told me about last night, and I read it already. Thanks for inspiring me with Emma's progress. As soon as Julian is over his bad cold, I hope to get started on potty training him as well. Jaida needs training for nights too, so I guess I'll be trying to cover that base as well. It would be great if they were both completely trained by the time we see you in the Spring. I hope I can be as dedicated as you and Joel have clearly been. Good job, Carlaw family :o)

Well, she certainly is one happy girl. Hope she will accept the tryke we have waiting for her. It's smaller, and green . . . we will tell her that it is an "Irish" tryke. Good we have a "pink" helmet waiting for her.
Hugs,

Granpa and Amma
